D19 Puente Villarente - León: 12km & D20 León - San Martín del Camino: 25km

Het was gisteren best fijn om al vrij snel die warme wandelschoenen uit te kunnen trekken. Toen wij in Leon aankwamen bij de albergue zat Rob daar, de Amsterdammer. De blaren die hij al een tijdje had waren erger geworden. Hij moest zelfs naar het ziekenhuis. Rust is dan het enige wat helpt. Vanmorgen had hij nog zoveel pijn dat hij wel nog een rustdag moest nemen. Er zijn gelukkig ergere plaatsen dan León om een rustdag te moeten nemen. Het oude stadscentrum van León is heel mooi om te zien. La casa de botines ontworpen door Gaudí en de kathedraal zijn zeker de moeite waard om te bezoeken. Marc heeft zelfs met Dhr Gaudí op een bankje gezeten😃
Vandaag zijn we onderweg een hele leuke man tegengekomen. Een heer dik in de 80, Agopito genaamd. Hij had een mand met koekjes en snoepjes staan. Hij bleef ons maar snoepjes en koekjes in onze handen stoppen: "Neem, neem. Jullie hebben het nodig. Ik weet er alles van, ik heb ook de Camino gelopen" Toen wij weggingen kreeg ik een roosje uit zijn tuin en hij vroeg of hij nog een kusje kreeg! Ik een goede pelgrim!! Ik moest hem ook beloven dat ik de foto's die we samen hadden gemaakt zou opsturen! Vandaag hebben wij weer een wij weer eens een Albergue met zwembad. Feest!🎉

Ayer fue bastante agradable poder quitarnos nuestras botas tan pronto. Cuando llegamos al albergue en León, estaba Rob sentado allí, el chico de Ámsterdam. Las ampollas que ya tenía hace algún tiempo habían empeorado. Incluso tuvo que ir al hospital. Reposo es la única cosa que ayuda. Esta mañana tenía tanto dolor que se ha tenido que tomar un día más de descanso. Menos mal que hay lugares peores que León para pasar el día. El casco viejo, el centro, de la ciudad de León es muy bonito. La Casa de Botines, diseñada por Gaudí y la Catedral valen la pena visitar. Marc incluso estuvo sentado con el señor Gaudí 😃
Hoy nos encontramos con un hombre muy agradable. Un caballero bien en sus 80, llamado Agopito. Tenía una cesta con galletas y caramelos. No paraba de ponernos galletas y caramelos en nuestras manos. "Tomar, tomar lo necesitáis. Yo lo sé bien pues yo también he hecho el camino. Al irnos me dio una rosa de su jardín y me pidió un beso!! Soy una buena peregrina, según él!! Me hizo prometer que le enviaría las fotos que hicimos juntos!Hoy estamos de nuevo en un Albergue con piscina. ¡Fiesta! 🎉

Yesterday it was quite nice to take of our warm hiking shoes that quickly. When we arrived at the albergue in León, we saw Rob sitting there, the guy from Amsterdam. The blisters he already had for a while had gotten worse. He even had to go to the hospital. Rest is the only thing that helps. This morning he had so much pain that he had to rest for another day. Fortunately, there are worse places than León to have to take a day off. The old city of León is very beautiful. La Casa de Botines designed by Gaudí and the Cathedral are worth visiting. Marc even sat with Mr. Gaudí on a bench😃
Today while walking, we met a very nice man. A gentleman well in his 80's, called Agopito. He had a basket with cookies and candies. He kept putting sweets and biscuits in our hands. "Take, Take You need it. I know all about it, I have walked the Camino myself." When we left I got a rose from his garden and he even asked me for a kiss! I'm a good pilgrim, according to him!! He made me promiss that I would send him the pictures that we took together! Today we are once again at an Albergue with swimming pool. Party! 🎉
