Twee dagen geleden in Logroño spraken wij een Amerikaanse vrouw, uit California. Het was duidelijk dat zij pijn had. Natuurlijk willen wij dan weten waarom zij heeft besloten om de Camino te lopen. Helemaal uit California, fysiek niet in vorm, zeker 30 kg overgewicht, waarom? Zij en haar verhaal zullen voor altijd een deel zijn van onze Camino. Haar man was vorig jaar juni overleden. Zij wilde de Camino lopen met hem en voor hem: zijn as uitstrooien op de Camino. Respect, bewondering en een brok in mijn keel. Met een hele dikke knuffel neem ik afscheid van haar. Ik hoop dat zij haar Camino zal kunnen volbrengen.
Het lopen gaat lekker. Vanmiddag regen gehad maar toen waren wij al in de herberg gearriveerd😀. 560km te gaan!
Que bonito es ver a tanta gente diferente en el Camino . Jóvenes, viejos , hombres, mujeres, asiáticos, europeos, americanos ... Una colección de todas sus historias sería un libro maravilloso .
Hace dos días hablamos en Logroño con una mujer estadounidense, de California. Era obvio que tenía dolor . Por supuesto quisimos saber por qué decidió hacer el camino. Desde California , no en muy buena condición física, con al menos 30 kilos de sobrepeso , ¿por qué ? Ella y su historia siempre será parte de nuestro Camino . Su marido falleció en junio del año pasado . Ella decidió caminar el Camino con él y para él: esparcir sus cenizas en el Camino . El respeto , la admiración y un nudo en la garganta. Con un fuerte abrazo me despido de ella. Espero que sea capaz de hacer su Camino .
Llevamos bien el camino. Esta tarde tuvimos lluvia pero después de llegar al albergue 😀 560 km son los que nos quedan!
It is so wonderful to see so many different people on the Camino . Young, old, male, female , Asian, European , American ... A collection of all their stories would be a wonderful book .
